認知症とボケ

Ｑ：　認知症とボケの違いはなんですか？


Ａ：　認知症とボケの違いを医療の側からの考え方を例に説明します。

認知症あるいはボケという言葉はよく使われますが、両者を同じ意味でもちいる傾向がまだまだ多いように感じます。

基本的に認知症とボケは異なります！

また、認知症にも一見すると本物の認知症と同じような症状を一時的に呈する「みせかけの認知症」といわれる状態もあります。

分かりやすく、認知症とボケの区分を示すと、


①認知症の状態（認知障害・失見当・幻覚・妄想等）
脳の組織に何らかの障害が起こり、その結果、頭の働きが持続的に衰えていく状態。

②ボケの状態（ど忘れ・物忘れ等）
年齢とともに脳が生理的に老化し、その結果、頭の働きが衰えた状態。


注）みせかけの認知症とは、孤独や環境変化、ストレス、脱水、低運動等により、一時的に認知症と同じような状態が起きてしまうこと。（脳変性がなくても、認知症状態を示す場合もある。）


このように、どの人にも年齢とともに起こる「ボケ」と、居場所が分からない、さっき食べた食事のことがわからない等の「認知症」を整理して理解する必要があります。
